2009 PR Institute Winners Announced! 06/25/2009

After seven weeks of intense training, five mock-agency PR Institute teams presented their communications plans to real-life client PricewaterhouseCoopers and a panel of judges.

On Wednesday, June 24, PRSA Philly announced the winning team at the PR Institute Awards & Networking Happy Hour at Lucy’s Hat Shop in Olde City. The 20 PR Institute participants and their five mentors, colleagues and PRSA Philly leadership came out to acknowledge the participants’ hard work, network with industry peers and celebrate with the winning team.

The winning team of the 2009 PR Institute program was Team 3: Asset Communications, coached by team mentor Candace Steele of Cephalon, Inc. The winning team represents diverse areas of expertise and was comprised of the following members: Amber Gladys of Kildare’s Irish Pub Manayunk, Felicia Phillips of Health Partners of Philadelphia, Lindy Wagner of Keystone Mercy Health Plan, and Marisa Olson of University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.

The five teams’ plans were on display for the guests to browse through at the awards happy hour.
